Hi.. I am a newly single mother of a beautiful four year old boy, Charlie. My life has completly changed since my divorce..I have had to quit my night job because my wonderful son has just entered his first year of pre k. I am working at the school as an assistant to the teacher..goverment job..goverment pay. I am barely making enough money to cover our rent and put food on the table. All I want is to have a nice, warm home for my son to come home to!! We cannot afford a Christmas tree , so we have decorated a fake palm I already had!! I would love to have my son wake up on Christmas to find some presents under a real tree. Nothing fancy or expensive just a few "hot rods" and trains... He is all boy!! This will be his first Christmas without his father here, and I would love to make it wonderful for him.. but without any support from his father (he lives over 10 hours away) it is very hard to go out and make extra money. I have worked very hard all of my life and continue to do so.. I have recieved a grant and will be going back to college in January majoring in early childhood education.. so we are on our way to a brighter future.
